The Introduction to the Center

In order to provide outstanding services to the southern citizens, balance regional development and coordinate local significant constructions, the Executive Yuan established this Center on June 1, 1998 in Kaohsiung City. The purpose was to provide services and coordination for all citizens.
The scope of services includes the application of various certificates, business counseling for each unit of the Executive Yuan and acceptance of lobbying and proposals. The coordination covers the provision of services to local government, including each unit, and helping them to solve the problems caused by the significant constructions, such as land, transportation, economics, sanitation, environmental protection etc.

The integration of different region’s resources has become more important in recent years, yet local governments are uncompetitive when striving for national resources. As a result, there’s an opportunity for a win-win situation, if the cooperation between the local governments and this Center can be well implemented. The Center will focus on integrating the resources in southern Taiwan and strengthening communication between local governments and each unit of the Executive Yuan.
